Port St. Joe, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in Gulf County (DOH-Gulf) is lifting the advisory for residents and visitors near the following area:

Between the Eastern Shipbuilding location (old papermill site) and Butler Bay Road 432 Howard Road to Butler Bay Road in Port St. Joe, FL 32456

Recent coordinated laboratory testing with the City of Port St. Joe and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection indicates the water quality samples are at an acceptable level for the public to resume water-related activities.

The original advisory was issued on August 28, 2025, due to a wastewater spill.

For more information, please contact DOH-Gulf at 850-227-1276.
